"Frogs" 1/48 Willys Jeep

Can anyone help me with painting this thing? The painting directions are poor.

This is my first armor painting and I would like some accuracy for a WWII diorama I am working on with a C-47.

What colors should I use for the following parts?

Springs / Undercarriage?
Lights?
Differental?
Mirror?
Engine?
Front Grill?

Ant help would be greatly appreciated!

Marc

Marc, paint every thing except the lights and mirror olive drab.I am not familiar with this kit but if the lights are molded solid paint them silver. On the mirror paint the glass part silver and the rest olive drab.If you want a little variety the engine can be painted a medium gray. This was used on the Ford built GPW jeeps during WW2.The Willys built ones were olive drab. The oil filter ,air cleaner, starter, distributor and generator were black on both types. An excellent site on the WW2 jeep is www.g503.com.It has several full size restorations.Happy modeling!!

Marc,
jeepman has got you cover with this one. Everything OD is the way to go.

hey dude, if you’re going to paint your jeep, try using spray paint it’s more easier to paint using that. but be carefull, try first cover you jeep mirror by paper and also the winshield to avoid to be paint.

It’s the old Bandai Jeep reboxed by Frog. Eduard did a PE set for it long ago, #28001. The set turns up on occasion on eBay, sometimes in a Frog package as well. The Propaganda Kompany used to make a set of resin wheels for the kit as well, but I could not find it on their site.
