Fresh Grass on Suspension?

If I’m modeling a tank operating cross-country in Europe in the summer/spring and I want to have blades of fresh grass mixed with the soil on the suspension, how to make the grass?

Woodland scenics makes a good static grass product. You could cut it to whatever lengths would be appropriate for your build.

[#ditto] thats what I used on my just completed king tiger and willys jeep, the pics are floating around the forum somewhere.

cisal rope or twine, frayed and trimmed and then mixed into your mud.
static grass
horse hair (o.k. a stretch I know but I have a horse so…)
old paint brush bristles
the usual grass stuff…

hehe, you can even use real grass.
If you have a lawn, or there is a lawn being cut, gather some of the clumps of cut grass, the really mulched stuff, and wait for it to completely dry out, then just sprinkle it on your mud, or mix in.

Hit the model railroading section at your LHS. They have a horde of good stuff for landscaping and what have you.
