I’ve been working on the Kittyhawk Jaguar A. The kit is a mix bag of pain and frustration but as I’m closing in on painting I noticed there are no color call outs for the belly. There aren’t even pics in the instructions. For shame Kittyhawk! For shame. Anyone have the correct color for the underside of the Jaguar when in dark green/gray camo? Google pics seem to show a lighter gray or bare metal. I can’t tell for sure.
What I read is a flat silver, probably unpainted aluminum.
- A total of 160 Jaguar A strike aircraft were delivered to the AdA beginning in 1973. At its peak, the Jaguar equipped nine AdA squadrons. The AdA obtained 40 two-seat Jaguar Es, for a total of 200 Jaguars of all types. They were initially delivered in dark green / dark gray camouflage with flat silver undersides.

I dont know about the French but the RAF had a wrap around green/grey camouflage, and also at times a light grey belly, but more common was the wrap around.
