French Criquet in Vietnam, thanks to Ollie!

Captain Verne rolled his eyes again. The new major had been going on and on about how the flight was too rough for over five minutes now, and even the smarmy lieutenant Heicke was having no luck with calming him down. The captain, a veteran of hundreds of combat flights, chuckled to himself, “just wait ‘till he finds out he has to ride on the back of a cycle to get to H.Q.” !

Truly outstanding work!! Excellent presentation!! Interesting subject!! Well done!! I saw one fly once…truly an amazing aircraft. Thanks for the look.

Jerry

Great work, more pictures please!

Mate,
That’s outstanding work.
Are there more pics you can post here? Like maybe a few close ups and from a few different angles?
And what did you use for the water?
Great work - and thanks for sharing the pic.

Thanks! More pics soon.

Since I wanted the water to be rather yellowish, it was easy to just use regular resin made for fiberglass bonding. A simple duct tape mold edge, and pour away!

The backstory came from a modeling friend of mine from Canada:

“Our chief mechanic used to fly Criquets in Indochina, he would land in the rice paddies to pick up wounded and anything else…”

Here is the review with some more pics:

and, today’s postcard shoot with Jessi in a rather fun pose:

Rather fun is putting it mildly… that’s almost TOO much fun!!! You lucky modeler you! Oh and uh, nice build and article by the way HAHAH

But seriously, that’s a fine job you did, espicially in 72nd!

LOL…you know, some days, being a modeler really doesn’t suck! The other shots are a little less PC, but fun too.

What other shots? LOL
I checked out your website. Thats some pretty neat stuff you have displayed there!
