Here is a Hotchkiss H-38 tank by Trumpeter that I just finished. Painted with Model Master enamels, filters with oil paint, Mig pigments and oils for weathering. I’ve added Fruil tracks to replace the rubberband tracks.
Looking good David. My only concern is the white interior color you’ve applied to the rear turret hatch. As much as it is visible and contrasts in your pics, the same would be said for its ability to give away its position to enemy observers — maybe paint it your exterior’s verte color? Wartime photos even show the driver’s two hatches to be dark green as well.
Nice to see something a bit different Dave. I picked up the Bronco version of this kit, because I enjoyed the earlier release by Bronco, and this kit is supposed to have upgrades. I was also a bit disappointed in some things I did on the older one. I can’t believe how small this thing is.
That all being said, cute little bugger. I agree that the friuls were a better option to the one-piece tracks. I like it.
Beautiful work and it’s nice to see something different! I have the Bronco kit too, and started it back in the spring but those individual track links that came with the kit kicked my butt, I ended up putting her back in the box and walking away. Guess I should dig her out and try to finish her.
Funny, on first looking at the top-down second photo my first reaction was - is the French roundel on the cupola a bull’s eye target for Stukas???

Very nice looking tank indeed. That decal on the turret hatch looks like it has settled down great. Any secrets to how you got it to settle down so well on such a round shape like that?
I used micro set and made sure to press on it with with a wet paper towel. I did this two times and then applied micro sol to give it a better grip.
