I’ve been modeling since the age of 6yrs. and now at age 60 I find that my enthusiasm for our great hobby knows no bounds. Like most modelers, I took time out for military duties, school and a family but was still able to find the time for a few projects to keep my sanity and modeling skills from going south. That being said I’ve been an avid reader and subscriber of FSM for the past 25 yrs. In that time the articles and how tos have made me a much better modeler. I live in Las Vegas, Nev. and drive tour buses to the Strip and the Grand Canyon and because gambling does’nt trip my trigger my down time is spent modeling. I go to our local Hobby Town at least once a week for just a bottle or two of paint (yea right) or to just talk about models or when and where the next contest is being held with Scott, Tyler or Joey the owner.
Well for now that’s my intro to these forum discussians, and oh yea my name is SCOTT.
The great thing about these forums is when you have a model related question someone will know the answer, have a link or access to it in a short time.
I have seen pages of very informative discussion over a question that have left all better informed. The one I am thinking of was regarding the firing mechanism on a German Pak 40 / 75 mm anti tank gun. Diagrams, photographs and text all made the answer clear for all who followed.
Now on the other hand sometimes the threads get side tracked and goofy! All in good fun, as with the internet in general enjoy your time here with a grain of salt.
