Forum names

Along the same lines as Eagle334’s thread, how did some of you derive at your forum name? Just curious, mine is TimL because my name is Tim Landers[:D]. Some are pretty interesting though. BTW, TGIF

Tim

Mine came from the fact I was in the 334th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Eagles”. They originally started as 71Sq RAF, the first of the Eagle Squadrons.

My current name is derived from my love of and fascination with wolves, especially black wolves and from my interest in the world conflict which raged from 1939 to 1945…

Mine actually comes from a time when I tried getting into playing chess on yahoo. I was new to the game. Now I’m not so new to it, but also not so good.
Leon

Blackwolf, I mean, HEY YOU, I thought your name had something to do with your fascination for Lenny on Laverne and Shirley? Oh no, wait, He was Lone Wolf wasn’t he. [8D][:)]

I’m not sure. [(-D]

mine was a slip of the fingers. in hs i was given the name fightingjoe, my first time online i was typing late at night and mispelled the name and thus fightnjoe.

joe

Huh? Wha? Somebody call…?

Albion is an old name for England, often used in poetry, and I’ve always liked it. And I don’t like my real name very much, which is…

Darren

Mine is boring, but easy to remember (for me): “j” for Jonathan (my first name), “b” for my middle name, “little” for my last name, and “254”, my high school graduation class . . . .

-Jonathan

Name first came out when I was in college. Usually spent Friday and Saturday nights in an establishment named the BierStube and became know as “Der Qmiester”. Faded out for a few years and then in the Guard one of my officers started calling me Qmiester and some of the other guys picked it up. So I used it here.

When I signed up with eBay two years ago, I tried to think of something tricky. I thought of song titles and characters in songs by Jimi Hendrix, Santana, John Lee Hooker, Charlie Musselwhite,… Everything was used, so I chose the name of a local band that my friends are involved with; The Mojo Doctors!

Mine comes from my F-4G Wild Weasel days. My squadron was the 90th TFS (3rd TFW) based at Clark AB Philippines and our squadron motto and patch was the Par-O-Dice Squadron. All members were knon as “Dice-men” so I just modifided to include me, on a lot of sim boards I’m known as Dice-man, but here it’s just Dice…

Brandon = My first name

p51 = (guess my favorite plane [;)])

well, well, well,
My name on here is meant in the religious sense. There is a song out that talks about when Jesus is going to return on a White Horse. In the song it asks will you ride with me? So after getting my name to stick in yahoo, this was the first way it was spelled that wasn’t taken, that was in 1999. I use this name for everything, ebay, here, scale auto forum, etc.

My name is pingtang because… well now that I think about it, I don’t actually know why my name is pingtang. It’s just a word that I thought no-one would be using as a nickname.

Mine is a meteoroligical term short for Vorticy Maximum.

Nothing very interesting (or imaginative) here. It’s my first name, middle initial, and the first syllable of my last name.

Paul

What can I say,I am a car nut,Mustangs in particular.I have a 1:1 '68 coupe that when the restoration is finished will emulate the “Trans-Am” look (albeit with modern performance upgrades) of the pony cars in the late '60’s and early '70’s SCCA road racing clubs.I also use this name in the Scale Auto forum.

My name is Robert, I work in the hobby Industry and I had a chinese student who wanted me to build him a 48 F-104 and when he asked my name he caled me Lob and one of my co founders added the bie and the nick name has stuck ever since, in all the other forums that I belong too I’m known as 29 Foxtrot, which was my Army Service call sign.
