This I think answers your question:

Just a thought, I have the book “Ford Trucks since 1901” (I think that is the ttle) so I will check out this particular model to see if it mentions that the truck was used by the Americans. I may also have a sutable military vehicle book to refer to.

By implication from the URL I posted it could always be a captured German truck.

Thank you Bassman, i have been looking all over internet for references and i havent been able to find nothing, that book that you have will help me a lot for sure, thank you for your helping me. If you find something please let me know, i really appreciate it [:)]

The book is 1905 onwards (close). The truck was available in 1940 and 1941 in America. In 1942 it had a facelift, with a rectangular grille with 5 sections of 3 (I think) vertical bars. There is a picture of a short wheelbase (shorter than the model) military 1941 model which surprisingly was gloss painted and had chrome bumpers and headlight bezels. There is also a picture of a 1940 model converted to 4x4 again I suspect with the shorter wheelbase though it is almost a front on view.

Hey Bassman do you think would be possible for you to scan some pics of those trucks that you are telling me about and sending them to my mail? i dont want to bother you but as i told you i got this truck and i havent been able to find any references so any help that you can give me or someone else is welcome. Thank you Bassman
