Ford 4-AT or 5-AT Tri Motor Info Wanted

I am looking for info on the interior of the Ford Tri Motor. If any one knows of a place to get schematical drawings of the cabin and cockpit it would be very much appreciated. I have the old Monogram “box scale” kit (actually 1/77) and there is no interior of any kind. Also if any one knows of pictures of the Tri Motor in US military service I would be interested in those also.

It may be a reach, but the old IPMS Quarterly Vol. 12 had a two-part (nos. 3 & 4) feature on one of Island Airlines still-in-service Trimotors, with some good black-and-white detail photos of both the interior and exterior, plus some scheme profile drawings. Interior shots are the stbd. side of the inst. panel, and a couple “down the aisle” shots of what look like crude bench seats—this may not be the “original” airliner fit. There are also some notes about modifying the old Monogram kit.
If you can’t track it down and you’re interested, let me know.
Greg

I am also working on the old Monogram kit, need reference photo’s or line drawings for the control cable’s, especially around the stabilizers and rudder.

Thanks Greg, This was what I was looking for also.

I know this is very late, but I’m building the same kit your speaking of (at least I think) and I was googling Trimotor today and came across this site http://www.fordtrimotor.org/

For US military Fords, look at Dana Bell’s Air Force Colors (to 1942), Volume 1.

just starting one with my young son, and found this:

I’ve got some old pictures of early military Trimotors in my collection. I can dig them out and scan them if need be. Here is a few close up pictures I took at EAA this year.
