I normally post to the aircraft forum, but I also collect scale armor. Does anyone else collect the Forces of Valor series I’ve been finding at Target? What are your opinions? I find them very detailed for a department store pre-built kit. Also, are there any additional series other than “The Ultimate Soldier” series that can be found at Wal-Mart which offer extreme detail?

This is a serious question–are they made in China too?

Overall, I find them acceptable. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. They make decent efforts at accuracy and weathering. Heck if they had these when I was growing up, I’d have bought my share. I really like the Dragon 1/72 stuff. They do some fine detailing like zimmerit and such.

I say if you like it, buy it.

I collect the forces of valor 1/32 stuff.I get them at target but badcataviation.com

has better true collector kinds with tougher and better detail. The ultimate soldier 1/18 is very good.
