I’m noticing the color callout on my Hasegawa kit has the camo scheme in RLM74 and RLM75 - both of which are very close to each other, variants of grey. In the handful of photos I’ve seen as well as the artists illustration that accompanies the kit, there would seem to be more difference in the colors than there is in these two.
Im afraid following the color callouts is going to make the camo almost un-noticeable. Is this a misprint, or?
74/75 over 76 is a common color scheme but of course depends on the A/C you are depicting. There is a pretty good color variation between 74 and 75. The pic below, while heavily weathered shows the variation.

That camo color scheme is probably the most common in the luftwaffe. If the paints you are using are correct shade then you should have no contrast problems. A 74/75/76 upper camo should look similer to this.

Thanks. I suspect the drawing then was really for purposes of clairity. I look at the jars and the bottoms look really really close. But hey, its paint. They do dry different sometimes.
Side notes: first off, dang. Nice looking pics you guys posted.
Second side note, I discovered the huge difference some colors exhibit with British Crimson, which I thought look more appropriate wet than insignia red did once. Then it dried. Yow. Thats like dried blood when it cures. That got repainted. Live and learn.
