Work has been moving slowly as the wife has me laying a new wood floor in one of the bedrooms. Strangely she seems to think this is more important than painting this model. Some people just have screwy priorities. Just in case you are not aware, this is the 1/48 FM Dornier Do-24T.
Most of the painting is done on the fuselage. Just have a few spots to touch up.
Mostly need to touch up on the belly where some blue lifted with the tape. Also need to touch up the elevator support struts. There is a little paint bleed in a few areas also - the tape just came off this a little while ago, paints now even fully dry yet. This is all post shading with lightened 72/73.
Beautiful work, Swanny! How was the assembly of the kit? I have a PV-1 from F.M. in the stash, and it looks like it will be a challenge, to be charitable. [^] Your work here is impeccable, thanks for sharing!
Yeah, that’s being charitable all right. I have never had to put so much filler and sanding into a kit before. Had to sand the surface of the entire fuselage to get rid of the orange peel cast into the plastic, general parts fit was bad, general plastic quality was bad, directions are marginal at best. You really have to want it bad to build an FM kit.
