Flyboys movie

anybody got the scoop on this movie, and, the next logical overasked question. What is the best company for WWI planes, a large scale, one that can be done with older hands? Something bigger than 1:48!

Hobbycraft has a Nieu.17 in 1/32 scale. But the best company is Eduard or Roden, depending on what else your looking for. Nothing over 1/48 with Eduard though. Roden has a 1/32 Fokker Dr.I Triplane and Albatros D.III.

i picked up a older kit by revell #4419 it is a 1/28 scale sopwith camel a few months ago. i found it at a hobby shop it looks like a nice kit. and i am not to impressed with revell but this one looks good. if you look on ebay and use the kit number you might find one it is a older kit and i haven’t seen them before, i paid $23 for it

Flyboys movie coming Sept. 22nd. Looks like lots of computer graphics! Typical Hollywood dramatics!

i’d say eduard is pretty solid but i personally don’t trust roden. the one kit i’ve bought from them was pretty horrendous in both accuracy and quality of the parts. it was a 1/72 scale ww2 plane though, so i guess their larger scale biplanes may be better. there’s lots of balsa and tissue ww1 plane kits around, why not try a hand in one of those? they’re much larger scale, cheaper and will actually work afterwards. you can always add the extra detail with plastic if you’d like.

Eduard without a doubt.
