Well, I ordered it. Then I realized this thing is 1/32 so its going to take up some room when complete. And to me a Kingfisher needs to be displayed on a catapult. I see a catapult/turret scratchbuild project in the far future.
I have been thinking the same thing for mine. I’ve seen them done but I think that may be some work.

If you two don’t mind I would like to jump in on this GB. I have 2 choices but will narrow it down to 1 by the end of the week.
My first choice is the HU-16A Albatross
As you can see this is the USAF format…my thoughts on this build are to locate the decals for the USCG and make it the “Final Flight of the Albatross” when the USCG retired the Albatross in 1976. I just need to find USCG decals for this 1/48 beauty.
Or just go easy with the Cessna 172 and come up with same type of theme.

Laughing my head off!! I may have bit off more than I can chew but I am going to give it one heck of a try. I am definitely going to build one at a time. I went back and reviewed my order and read the highlights on the Albatross and I noticed the specs on it and when I saw 329 pieces my jaw dropped and HOLY GAUCAMOLIE Steve, 329 pieces!!!
