fixing tailrotor problems

ARRRGH i all most have the 530g gunship done for the group build. but i got a MAJOR problem it sits on its tail. now all i do have to the helo is attach the glass and the gunpods to the helo. mabye this well fix it but i dont think it will so how would go about fix tail rotor heavness??[:D][:D]thanks rob

If the canopy is still off, you can try slipping pennies under the floorboards to add weight. You may be surprised, the canopy and guns may weight it down enough. I have not had to add weight to any of my 3 Loach/Littlebird builds (Israeli TOW, OH-6A, MH-6J).

Is there a nose mounted FLIR? If so, you could possibly hollow out the FLIR and fill that with lead weight.

If you’re attaching it to a base, you could drill small holes in the bottoms of the skid tubes, and insert and glue wire pins into the holes and matching holes in the base.

thanks for raising this problem, it may be something to watch out for on my project…

Lead fishing sinkers come in all sizes and can be super-glued into all kinds of interior recesses forward of the CG. [:)]

Take care and good luck.
