Here is my latest figure, a trooper of the 1st Virginia, Stuart’s Black Hiorse, Cavalry in the American Civil War. The figure is a Wolf castin comprising of 3 resin part (basse, body and head) and 2 white metal parts, (sabre/scabbard and finger guard). He is painted in acrylics with a few touches of oils. The rocks are the kit base, the stump is from Armand Bayardi and the rest of the groundwork is a variety of Woodland Scenics over a mixture of Celluclay, railroad ballast, acrylic paint, white glue and water.
Looks Good ajlafleche, his face really gives the impression that he angry about something.
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent job of painting. Looks great.
Regards, Rick
great job! Its always nice to see some civil war stuff on the forums.
Great job, but where do you find the time? This must be your fourth figure in a month, and each one is fantastic. I wish I could be that prolific.
I’m almost done a fifth! But wait, there’s more to the story. This guy’s been in the works since mid-November. I did most of his facial work pretty quicklu thenit took me time to get the great coat and uniform to my liking. The first 3 (and 4th) Vikings were also being done at the same time, so what happens is I’ll have an apparent dry spell then several projuects are completed in close order so it LOOKS like I’m producing quite a lot. Right now, I have started working on the base for the Michael Roberts “Moment in Time” vignette (see link here http://www.milminwh.com/images/Michael%20Roberts/Moments_in_Time.jpg) and have a second Andrea .44 Magnum near completion.
