first use of water colours...

hi guys[:)]
just bought some small tubes of windsor and newton watercolour to help weather my panther over on the armour group build.
i intend to follow djmodels weathering instructions ie watercolour, washing up liquid and a little vinegar for the mix, but am a little unsure as to how much watercolour to actually squeeze out of the tube!!
can anyone help me please?[:)]
my panther already has a coat of future over it.
thanks guys.
regards,
nick

A little bit goes a long, long way. You only need a little, bout the size of a bb.
Also, I have been using a water color wash on my current project. I have been using a plastic lid to make the wash. When I am done, I just let it sit and the mix will air dry. When you want to do more washing, just add water and you are back in business.

Try for the consistency of coffee. Strong or weak coffee depending on the desired strength of your wash. cbreeze is correct. You only need a tiny tiny bit of watercolor to make your wash.

Nothing to add to this, Nick. It goes a long way indeed!

hey djmodels! nice dio of marvin the martian!

Pixilater did that for me…! It looks real, doesn’t it…?!

The shadow was a very nice touch. Pix does some great stuff.

i’ll let you know how it goes.
