first tank ever {lots of pics}

here are pics of my first venture into the darkside. will back for more. this is tamiya PzKpfw IV Ausf J OOB for the d-day gb

Very nice! especially for a first armor. Only thing I can add is maybe a little mud becuase the weather around D-Day was not that perfect. And some dry brushing of the tracks and also the spare tracks would be good. Overall nice build!
after building armor and aircraft, what would you say you like better?

Nice looking build Ghettochild. If I ever get around to finishing mine hopefully it will look as good.

very good for the first time out!! can’t wait to see some more of your builds!!! [tup]

Awesome lookin panzer. Needs a mud bath. hehehe

Top rate job for a first armour kit. Looks like you gave it a dirty wash already, but maybe a little drybrushing on the hull, as well the tracks as rebel said, to bring out some detail like bolts, hinges etc, would also be nice. Thanks for showing us.

ghettochild that is awesome. well done.

Very nice [tup]

Nice job with the camo, with the tools, nice clean, crisp build

A little weathering might a nice addition

First build? Extremely well done job. Only suggestion I may make is to not leave the tracks unpainted.

True… good job! Great work period… first armor or not…!

Excellent first effort!
You’ve already gotten some good tips here, so I’ll add no more.

Looks great!

Looks very good.

Hey there, Ghetto dude

Looks fine to me, but I’ll go along with the other guys, it could do with just a wee bit more ‘dirtying-down’.

Keep 'em coming.

Outstanding build for a fifth or sixth tank…let alone a first time effort. You’ve already received some excellent advice. I would only add that you might want to paint the rubber on the upper return rollers, but that’s not a biggie. Excellent camo work!

Enjoy your modeling…

great job. looks very nice. It’s a bit shiny is that just the photo? (flash?) not trying to be critical:) I like the cammo also very well done:)

Very nice. Beautiful model.

Top job [tup] Thank you for sharing.

For some reason the tamiya directions dont say to paint the to return wheels. Same thing happend with my Ausf D

thanks guys.
rebal- while i love aircraft i did find myself putting off plane projects to work on this

i would like to add some mud but i have never done any. will probably pratice a little before i try it. i did paint the tracks but with a grime color, what color should i use. i thought i was dirty enough, but i guess building nothing but planes will do that to a person.

Nothing more that I can add except another well done.
