First Tank build: Panterh Ausf A Any tips/techniques

When a friend modeler showed me some of his models, I became interested in modeling and decided to give it a try. I build a Pak 40 and a sdkfz251/1 half-track. I bought my first tank, a Panther and want to give it a snow-time camoflauge. I am trying for a base coat of grey and airbrush a nice soft coat of flat white around it (not camo splotches). Anyone who has built this kit (i’m sure somone has because It’s a pretty popular kit) please give me some tips and techniques. I have an airbrush and a nice selection of paint.

If you’re talking about inaccuracies, if it’s a Tamiya Panther A, the turret has been mentioned to be inaccurate among other things. Been many years since I’ve built it. As for the grey, it never wore that color. It came with the dunkelgelb usually with Olivgrun and red brown camo. I’ve never tried a winter wash, so I’ll let someone else answer that for you. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Tigerman is right, panther never wore panzergrey. you can read an article at tamiyausa.com about winter wash, it’s step by step article about winter wash
