Welcome to the forum Jiggarks. Is this your first models as well or do you allready have some experience in other areas? For me getting a nice gloosy paint job is the hardest part of cars so just read up on painting and be very patient when you do paint the body. If there are any specific questions you have, be sure to ask .

Wow, I have to agree with lizardqing2, be patient about the body paint. Thats something that I’ve seemed to learn very slowly. I now make sure that I cover the drying model with a clear plastic storage box drawer to keep the dust off of it…and let it dry for about twice as long as you think. Its worth the wait!

Also, become best friends with future floor polish…it seems to be the “jesus” of our modeling world chuckle Just look back at the forum…you’ll find all the future info you’ll ever need.

Hey Chris, it’s cause there’s a period on the end of the link on top!! Welcome to the wonderful world of car modeling, where everything is perfect and pristine…kinda makes me want to build something dirty!!! Which is why I build at least on plane while building a car!!! I’m working on a Tamiya NSX for the Tamiya Con right now, and a Tamiya Corsair for the Marine Corps Group Build!!

Apart from the coments about painting which can’t be underestimated, my advice would be to take your time, follow the instructions, dry fit, detail paint as much as possible before final assembly and use a plastic glue except on the clear parts where a clear glue like Kyrstal Kleer or Elmers should be used. Be very careful if using a superglue as it can result in fogging of clear parts. If the interior is all black then use different shades of very dark grey as well or dry brush odd features with a dark grey to bring them out. Have fun and enjoy, this won’t be the first and only!
