I’d say it looks pretty sharp. Looks like your on the right track IMHO. The only thing I can suggest, did you tone down your paint colors for scale effect? Add a little white to them to scale them down for the models. Decent job on the wasshes, and your feathered paint shows you have good control of that airbrush of yours. Good show!!
Were abouts in Surrey are you?
I grew up in Cloverdale, lived there my whole life till the military and then got married and couldn’t afford to live there anymore.

Looks like you are on the right track! Your airbrushing looks great, as do the washes. I would remove the masking on the canopy, otherwise your pilot is gonna have a heck of a time flying it!
[#ditto] But I think it’s a tad but too shinny. I hope your going to add a clear dull coat as a finish after decaling it.
That’s a good job for any atrtempt, not just a 1st. Tough tot ell in photos but from a tecjnical standpoint it looks good. Smooth paine, good wash, seams cleaned up etc. I will let the modern gas passer fans comment onthe colors since i have no idea.
Adding white for scale effect is one of those debated subjects. Yu can go over the panels with the base colors lightened a tiny bit with some white. Do it in an uneven pattern with each panel and you can kill 2 birds with one stone… get some scale effect and make the paint look faded/weathered. Anothe method is to apply a filter… over spraying the whole thing with what is more or less the same as a colored wash… 80 to 90% solvent to paint.
Looking forwrd to seeing more stuff.
EDIT: WOW do I need spell check [:D]
Looks great so far. It appears you have more work to do with the decaling, etc., so make sure you post more pictures when it’s completed.

Looks real good at this stage. That’s not an easy kit & the build looks clean. Keep us posted.

Looking good so far. I , too, am curious to see the completed model. Kudos to you for posting your first work here, too. I look forward to seeing your future builds.
Very nice work, especially for your first! Wish my first had looked 1/100 that good! The panel lines are a tad dark for my taste, but that subject has been debated long (and sometimes loudly) on here. As long as you are pleased with your work, then it is a success, and I assure you this build is a success thus far. I’ll be watching closely for further updates, and thanks for posting!
