…ok, maybe second. Here is my Fujimi 1/72 Spit with the base coat of NMF. I used Floquil Bright Silver diluted with Laquer thinner. The sticking wires are for the motorized prop, and the whole thing will go on display base.

Scroll down and here it is, finally. That little black thing you see sticking out is the switch.
I would like to know what steps you toke between that first coat and the finished model. I see different panelshades, less shine etc. What did you do to get to that endresult?
Thank you all for the kind reviews, it was fun to build. Now, if I can answer some questions…
I used the decals that came with the box, and they went very well.
First I applied a few coats of Bright Silver thinned with laquer thinner. Goes smooth, but you have to seal it with Future or comparable sealer otherwise, no matter how much it “dries” your fingerprints will still show up. Trust me, I know. Then, I added to Floquil Bright Silver in my airbrush a drop of Model Master Stainless Steel Metalizer to slightly change the color. I sprayed various panels and sealed again. After about 48 hrs I applied the decals with decal setting solution. Then it was time for the wash. I made an oil wash of Burnt Umber and Mars Black. 50%-50% mixture. It doesn’t matter what brand of artist oils you use, mine are the cheapest, and I am very satisfied with the results I get. Anyway, I mixed the oil wash in a stainless steel measuring cup and thinned the wash with odorless turpenoid. I have tried all kinds of washes- acrylic, sludge, water and pre-made, but found that the oil wash works the best for me. And that really is it.

bdelov: thanks for the explanation. So if I understand correctly, you did not seal the decals with a final coat? (i’m thinking about doing a NMF, so I am gathering as much info as i can)
