I want to say thanks again to all those who gave me some hints as to what to start my modeling career with ( along with an Iwata airbrush and 50 bucks worth of acrylics). I chose the M4A3 Sherman with the 75mm gun…I will probably need some advice so I hope you guys don’t mind me hitting you up for some on the boards.
dont forget to post some piccys

The advice I would give is about decals. They tell you to wait 30 seconds but I always wait longer before pulling it out of the water… I’ve had many a ripped decal by taking it out too early

And dont forget to spray a glosscoat for the decals and then when they are set spray a dullcoat over that. better to learn it the easy way rather than the hard way like me, ruined a whole model that way. good luck[:D][:D][:D]
[#welcome]hope you enjoy modeling…welcome to the forum,[8D]
[#welcome]You wont find a better bunch of guy’s and a few gal’s around in any forum,I just joined last month and every single ?? I had was answered and always remember that it takes time and lots of practice so dont get discouraged and remember fun fun fun, and stay away from enamels on rubber tracks they tend to become “tacky” but you are using acrylics so no worries.
And a fine first choice it is !!!
Keep us posted with your progress and don’t be afraid to yell for help.

Welcome Warrior1973!
That is a great kit for a first build! I’m sure some would rather see a Tiger or Panther, but not Robert ! (Shermanfreak) LOL.
Yes, by all means feel free to ask questions! We all have answers, might not be the same answer, but we’ll give you answers…

Welcome to the forum and the darkside. Ask all the questions you need to, all we ask for is pics!
Good luck with the build!
Let’s see some pix once you get it going!
hey all…decided to go with the M4A3 Sherman 75mm…things are going better than expected…mostly due to the info that I have gathered from here. I plan on posting some pics of the progress later this week, providing the wife doesn’g go into labor and I am away for a few days. I should be able to finish it up now that I got me a decent air compressor from wally world and an airbrush. Thanks again for the tips!
[#welcome] To our little family Warrior. Good luck on your build.
Nice choice, indeed. Welcome to the club. You can choose later as to what size of shell penetration you would like to simulate in the front plate of that sherman. 75 scale mm or 88 scale mm. LOL. Just kidding. I hope Sherm will not see this. he-he-he.
Good one Dwight. ROFLOL!!! It would only take one.to pop that turret rightoff.
