first armor!!! paint help,please!!!

I just started a new venture in the hobby arena, and this new track starts with the academy,m 36 jackson. it seems to be a pretty well kit. i’ve never built an academy before so it’s a start in 2 areas. but here’s my question ( i know Finally). the directions say to paint the exterior in olive drab, and the drabs that i’ve seen aren’t the right color for the tank that i’ve seen in my research photos. what is the best match color that yall can point me towards? I do appreciate any and all help , and have a great one or 2 or 3 or however many it takes.

You will probably get many many different choices/replies here. My personal tastes for Olive Drab for WWII US AFVs run towards Model Master Olive Drab ANA 319, Gunze Olive Drab (2), and Polly Scale’s Olive Drab 505370 for newer and 505098 for a brownish faded shade.

I use the Model Master olive drab and have always been happy with the way it appears.

OK…I you like Tamiya use Tamiya OD for the base coat. Then lighten up setions with a mix of Tamiya OD and Tamiya Flat Dark Yellow. Somewhere between an 80/20 to 90/10 mix

Rounds Complete!

Ditto Model Master OD.
