Thought I would share to get some constructive critisism on my first AFV build.
I have been building cars and airplanes for years so I decided to try a AFV. This is the turret on a Tamiya Walker bulldog with Eduard and Ordanance PE, some scratch built and resin parts thrown in hear and there as well. Please post your opinions good or bad as well as any advise. Thanks! [:D]
Thanks Sherman… The Ordanance PE is OK. Its limited with only 1 small sheet and three pieces of resin. The Eduard set has two very nice sheets that cover just about every shortcoming of the tamiya kit. But the Ordanance PE did have a nice resin 50 cal mount. For the cost of the Oranance PE I figured I would get both and use the best of each set.
Thanks for the encouragement. The oval blocks styrene, were solid molding in the kit. I drilled them out and then added the eduard PE rivet surround to give it more detail. After laying down the paint I will add glass from the inside using blister pack plastic to give it a realistic reflection of vision blocks. Thanks again
Got a little more done on the Tamiya M41 Bulldog from the last time I posted. Finished the Verlinden 50 cal MG uisng some of the PE that came with the Eduard set for the bulldog. This is the first time I have used Verlinden and I am sold!!! Nice detail on the MG and all the parts are molded seperately so you have lots of options on how you want to pose your MG.
Also added a Barrel Depot barrel in place of the kit barrel. I did cut off the kit muzzle and attached it to the metal barrel since this is not supplied with tne Barrel Depot barrel. Comments always welcome!!![:D]
