*finsihed pics, 10-10* figgies...

1/35th scale for upcoming projects…combination of Alpine, Verlinden and DML figs:

Very nice photo etched parts. I couldnt work with those at that small size

Realistic poses, Eric.

Thanks Smeagol and Buddho—Sometimes it is hard to remember how small these buggers are, but when I saw my thumb and finger in the pic of the commander it made a good comparison…

You should be proud of those PE details, they really are amazing at that size. I cant with with stuff that small, I always loose it.

(side note, little soliciting, would you be ineterested in joining the armor secret santa this year?)

Thanks, they are difficult to sometimes hold onto…what is this “Secret Santa” stuff?

Its a Christmas Groupbuild. Everyone that signs up will get a name of someone else that signed up. You buy a kit (dont tell them!) wrap it, put a christmas card in it, and mail it off to your secret santa reciever person. Everyone will send off a gift, and get a gift from someone else. Jon has been running one in the aircraft section for 3 years in a row now. Its really about the giving then the recieving (though thats great). We all open the gifts on christmas, and send shots of the gift, and whatever else was sent along, cards, pictures, whatnot. It should be alot of fun, we have I believe 8 people so far.

Hmmmm…sounds interesting.

I hope you can join up. Im trying to not limit it to just armor, but armor and figures. Mainly because a good hunk of tank kits come with figures, and a good hunk of us that build tanks build figures as well for them, or visa versa, figure builders doing armor for dios and such.

Now, with paint:

…comments welcomed…

Those are great!!! I have a question you’ve probley answered already but how did you get that exellent camo paterns on the uniforms of the 2nd and 3rd guys

Some of the best SS camo I’ve ever seen… And you really captured the expressions of the faces as well… Mine always look rather emotionless…

A lot of good references and a whole lot of practice! Real pics of re-enactors in contemporary garb is very helpful as a lot of artists’ color plates are wrong…

Thanks, Hammer–I usually replace stock styrene heads w/ resin ones…Alpine figgies usually have the best heads on the market, and each of their figs comes w/ a choice of two different adorned heads so they help stock the spare head box nicely…

Hello,

Very nice. The PE looks impressive as does the painting. Top notch MR. Always enjoy the figures.

Thanks for posting,

Mobious

Very nice work Manny. I am impressed with your PE work as well.

SST

Thanks, Sic Semper and Mobious—I am getting sorta getting used to stringing the intercom systems together these days!!!..Once you knock one off, the next one doesn’t seem so hard…
