Hello gents, I was hoping someone could help me out here. I’m building Tamiya’s Finnish Stug III and used the colors recommended in their directions for the camo colors. Now that it is painted, the colors just don’t seem right comparing to images on the web. So if anybody has experience in building/painting Finnish subjects from WWII any of your help would be appreciated. I usually stick with Tamiya’s acrylic line of paints, so the colors would preferably be from them. Thanks.
Pictures of your model would help. I’d also recommend that you post a few photos of your web references, It’s kinda hard to know what your objective colors are?
Don’t forget too, that any “color” photos you find today are going to be modern re-paints, NOT necessarily true “original” colors.
Lifecolour makes a fantastic set of the Finnish camo colors. Very accurate and to my mind, some of the best paints out tgere.
