Finished Sherman M4A3 pics

here is my finished Tamiya 1/35 sherman M4A3 105mm

I went for a more subtle weather look this time with just using pastel chalks and 1x final future+flat base spray,

looks good . did the decals come with the kit? i see you had the same prob with yours as ive had with mine. da#%*! idler wheel cap wont stay on when you put the track on. [8]

Hey Dave,
Looks really good[tup][tup]. I didn’t know that Shermans came in that color (almost clean)[swg].
I’m going to have to try something with light weathering some day. I think I may just be to heavy handed. Still trying to get it through this thick head that sometimes less is more.
Keep up the good work and thanks for posting.
Joe

I really like the overall look you achieved! I’m not a heavy weatherer either. Nice and dusty does it for me!
I’m sure your dad must be a happy guy!

Very nice Shermy!![bow]

I like the subtle weathering. Looks good.

Great Sherman! The 105mm main gun version looks just right. The decals went on really good.

[:D]your sherm looks great, but you need some mud.[:D]

Looks great!
I’m about to start a shermie and I hope it comes out as good as yours.

Nice looking Shermie Dave. Is that the first Allied tank you’ve posted?

Looking good. I like the overall effect you applied.

Thnx for posting your pics. May I make a few suggestions for better accuracy?

  1. the idler wheel caps are missing.
  2. the .50 calibre machine gun is upside down and missing its firing handles
  3. the jerry can on the engine deck is missing its cap and handles.
  4. the vertical slots on the rear bulkhead are where the spare track link holders were attached. Perhaps fill them or place the block holders on?

thanks to all for kind remarks,

tigerman, yep is first post/build of allie armour ww2.

was refreshing to do something different to German ww2.

ericadeane

yep, thanks for that one, will correct, must have had a bad day when I built that section

I take the accuracy info on board, but overall I am pleased with the painting/weathering, for me personally this is the real test of one’s metal…
