Finished: Pennzoil Skyline

Hey guys!
Here’s my recently finished Skyline, painted with Tamiya yellow pearl and clear coat on that. Had some problems and managed to get some flaws as well. But all in all I’m quite satisfied with it. Hope you like!

Looks great. No complaints from me.

Looks awsome!! Nicely done!

Very nice. The panels lines have been very nicely done and just add that subtlety that makes it stand out.

Great looking car Niclas! Stunning work and I’m glad that you ended up with this result and took your time to sort out the Johnson Klear problems you had.
All in all I think it looks really nice and I have to go with Nicholma on the panel lines, you’ve really got them to lift the model!
If I should come with some critisism (so you have something to work with I mean) you seem to have a slight lift on the front left side wheel. I suggest you dismount the model and start all over [:D]

I totaly dismantled the car to try and fix the front wheel as Joel suggested and now it seems I can’t get it together again [:(!] This is the last time I listen to advice on this site [;)] To tell you the truth, there is no problem with the front wheels, just poseable steering and I didn’t bother putting it straight during the photo session. The panel lines are made with Tamiya smoke as it takes up the base coat and just makes it a little darker.

Awesome build Niclas,…makes me want to get crackin’ on my Skyline!

HEY,
Great job, not a problem with the model that i can see. Well, only one. The number on the side and hood says #1 and the number on top is 23, but looks great anyway.

Randy

My guess is that they ran #23 the year they became champions and this is the car the year after. Anyway, it’s supposed to look like this with two different numbers on the car, at least if we can trust the Big-T. A truly enjoyable kit to build and I love the paint scheme on it.

Cheers!
Niclas

Isn’t that what they all say??[;)] As I said, looks great. Yellow schemes are something special and I’m longing to do my Camel Honda. But that seems to be beyond my horizon right now when trying to get some time for the group build.

Great! Nice job there! Show us more!
I’m currently stuck with my Xanavi R34… Tonnes of work at the office…

Great build, Niclas!
I like the warpaint!

Very nice build. I love the Skyline. I can’t wait 'till the Japanese races are to be broadcast up here. Get to finally see a lot more of these beautiful cars.
