LionBaron, beautiful Fort you’ve got there.
I just bought this same model and I’ll be assembling it pretty soon. Did you have any problems with fit or anything else? Just wondering if you can give me a heads up on what to keep an eye out for.
Thanks and GREAT model.
Very cool build… love the NMF.
Nice job, Lion Baron !
What did you use to darken the raised panel lines?
Nice build, Earl. I always enjoy seeing one of those B-17s come out so nice.
Mark
Thanks fellas for all your compliments , I really appreciate them alot , I used a engineering pencil to darken the raised panel lines with pastel chalk accents , as for the assembly this kit went together well , I was pleased overall , take care all and many thanks once again for the feedback !!
Looking good. Nice job.
Thanks A6Efan glad you like this build of mine , many thanks for the compliment !!
Great job on a great bird. Here’s a link that was posted by a modeller under the topic about the Marine F-18’s that were lost in Iraq. On the link, there is a listing for “B-17 in battle,” that is absolutely heart-stopping. It is German gun camera film of a Fort being disassembled. For anyone with a love for B-17’s, this is an absolute MUST! NOTE: Have several tissues ready.
Thanks and hats off to the person who gave us this link!

Very nice build. Built one of my own several years ago. Love these big WWII bombers. Actually building the medium B25 C/D right now.
Baron,
Very nice job on the build and the detailing. What a great looking plane. I love the natural metal.

Thats cool. I built the same one a couple years back. It was much uglier though. Good job!

i made an ‘El Lobo’ b-17, i don’t know what it was D, E, or F but im thinken of doin
about 5-15 more to do a ‘juckyard’ scene V.I. (Vintage Aircraft) could tell u what a junkyard scene is. But mine was @ least 3x worst than you’res.

In the topic on the Marine F-18’s that were lost over Iraq there is a link to some aviation videos. One of those videos is titled, “B-17 in battle.” Anyone who has ever appreciated the Fort’s toughness needs to see it. It is heart-stopping. Have some tissues ready, too. And I’m tellin’ ya, that German was one hell of a gunner! Notice how he practically sniped out two engines.

Gang, I’ve tried to post a reply here twice. I get no error message, and the topic comes back to the top of the list, but my reply isn’t posted. What am I doing wrong?
Wess
Dunno, but it worked this time!
