[tup]Looks very good Sean. I’ve got my 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-21 going on the bench now for the Red Star GB.
Very nice! It looks like it’s survived quite a few harsh Soviet winters!
Looks good Sean. One of my favorite birds. How was the build on this one? I’ve got one on layaway at the “lhs” (yeah, local, 135 miles one way, and it’s the closest true hobby shop). Anyways, whats next up for you? I look forward to it whatever it is.
cheers guys

Kevin,
The build wasn’t to bad , but youll need some filler
you have to build the engine , which for some reason is in 4 pieces
which means loads of sanding , which means you lose all the detail
you then have to glue all the front detail in to the front half
(so you dont see it )
i just threw it together and glued the back and front of the fuselage
lots of fiddley bits in this kit
my only gripe is the very vague instructions
if you click on this link lots of ref pics for you

Great looking Mig. Weathering is superb. I noticed the main landing gear doors aren’t fully opened. Is that normal on the mig? Do they open further when the gear retracts?
Thanks for sharing.
Neil
not to sure Neil
really I should of put those on before the wings
because theres a strut that goes inside
which was a bit akward to put in ,
i think they are ment to be more open though
I got the decals in the mail today. Thank you for sending them to me. They will look good on the 1/32 scale MIG-19.
Nice build and the weathered finish looks real.
