Finished this last night. This is a great little kit. The only fit problem was the pieces at the front of the wing root. It was still a lot of fun to build though.
Here’s one with a Me-109 so you can judge the size of this little hot-rod.

Hey Hudgeons, nice build. I’ve liked Soviet aircraft for a few year (The game IL-2 Sturmovik is awesome!). I never really knew about Soviet planes before I played it. You’re done the MiG justice. Did you use kit decals? I’ve heard (and had an experience…) that ICM’s decals are turds. Thanks for posting!
VERY nicely done. I ilike the finsish and weathering. White can be tough but you handled it just fine.

Rad, what you have heard is right on. The decals are terrible. I did use them but only because I couldn’t find any aftermarket ones to buy. They ended up looking allright but it took a lot of Solva-set. Its really a shame that a kit that is a joy to build does not provide quality decals. With the price of these kits so low to start with, what’s a couple more dollars for good markings?

Here’s a shot of the belly.
I didn’t do much in the cockpit. I built the whole thing OOB. I didn’t even add belts. I will order a PE set for the other one I have in the stash.
