Finished Gerwalk

I just finished this one , so now I can almost spend my every waking moment on the group build , hope you all like .

Nice work, Walt!

Now, while it sure is painted nice, it would look MUCH better with the seams covered up…

But since it’s all glued together now, guess you really can’t fix that?

Invest in some putty, or a really good glue (I have that Model Masters stuff, it does a good job, but you’ll still need putty for backup with the glues every now and then… )

Course, this is just a suggestion, they are your kits after all!

Looking good Walt! [8D] It turned out real good. If your Sci-Fi project turns out as nice, you’ll be on a roll! [;)]

Oh yeah! I like those gerwalks…Yours came out great.

Dan

Akuma ,

In my defense the picture is taking after our cat knocked it off the shelf , this is as good as it’s ever gonig to look now , beilive me I know all about putty and covering seams , It’s just after the cat decided to see if it could fly I just didn’t care anymore . But thanks for your feedback every little comment makes us strive to be better and helps beginners to become masters .

Walt

Yeah

But that does give a funny image of the cat… heh I think maybe I shouldn’t get a cat, don’t want to come home and find all my kits on the floor… I think I’ll go with the snake then lol

Very nicely done Walter.

For everyones information the cat in question is no longer a part of this household [}:)] no I didn’t have it shot [:D] nor did I harm it in anyway , I did however find it a new home after this incident as this was the 3rd time it’s done it , 1st time was when it jumped up on my sword rack and knocked over all my Lord of the Ring swords , I wanted to kill it for that one , 2nd time it knocked over my Highlander sword and it fell on my model shelf ruining my F4 Corsair , a Mustang Cobra , a 1/350 Bizmark and my P-51 which I couldn’t fix any of those , and I still find pieces evey once in a while . So this last time was the final straw it now lives in a house that is more suitable for it .

Walt

BTW thanks for all the comments

You think cats are bad? My brother went in my shed and somehow my notice board hurled itself at him (yeah, i believed him too) totally descimating the 1/24th airfix moto gp bikes underneath it! Maybe i can find him a more suitable home?! [:)]

I’ve had several turtles as pets before, and never had those kind of problems.

Go with turtles. Model-friendly, happy-go-lucky turtles.

good thing i dont have a cat only a dog but seriously a model show i went to last summer a guy entered a 1/144th scale B-52 and i noticed a good sized hole in the wing when others didnt and he told me his cat tried to eat his plane didnt do him any good since he lost the contest to my Robotech Mospedea Ride Armour kit though :stuck_out_tongue:

Not to mention they’re cute :stuck_out_tongue:

Though I want a rat or a snake… Just as good, aren’t they?

Depending on the type of snake, it may eat the rat!

Go with the rat. Rats bond with their owners. Their social animals and it’s encouraged for owners to ‘handle’ their rats.

My son wants a rat and I’ve been looking into it.

Maybe the cat’s secretly a disgruntled Robotech fan who’s still mad about “The Sentinels” being abandoned. I can imagine some of our cats rooting for the Invid hellcat mecha.[:D][:p]

Never said I’d have them both at the same time :stuck_out_tongue:

But I think I’ll go with the rat
