Finished First Hasegawa kit.

Strange, I opened the box and it said:

  1. Open box

  2. Put paint inside box.

  3. Shake box for 15 seconds

  4. Model complete.

Or at least it almost felt like that, this is a 1/48 Hurricane Mk IIC, and it was a very nice kit that I got for $5 at the vendor tables. I used Promodelers wash and MM enamels.I will enter this in an adult event this upcoming contest. Well lets see what we have here…

Thanks for looking, All comments very welcome.

Very nice job. I’m assuming you used an airbrush as your finishes are nice and smooth.

That’s a great looking model. [Y]

Nice work! Ive been thinking about purchasing a Hurricane kit and think youve pushed me over yhe edge! I built an F-6-F6 Hellcat by Hasegawa and kinda felt like it built itself…a pleasure to build. Take care…Len

Nice lookin’ bird! Nice paint job too!

Very nice camo job,yep you can’t go wrong with most Hasegawa kits.

Nice looking Hurricane. Good luck at the Contest.

Regards, Rick

Beautiful job, man…[t$t]

Keep up the good work!

I just ordered a Paasche Millenium, so I’ll be trying to finish my 1/48 Bf-109 ‘Emil’ In Battle O’ Britain camo should be a good challenge for a first try - next is a Spit. MVb… I’m thinking small diorama…

The Hurricane is now on my list, thanks to you…[Y]

Very, very nice work Andrew! Always a pleasure seeing what you have been working on.

It looks great.

Thanks guys, I see you people like Hasegawa to.[:)]

Nice deal on the Hurricane. I wish I could score them that cheap.

Great camouflage job and decalling. Good luck in the contest.

Overall nice work on the Hurricane. I would recommend that you paint the exhausts a dark metallic color.

Great build Andrew, Hasegawa kits are not cheap, but they build into a really nice kit without alot of aggravation. I’ll bet half the kits in my stash are Hasegawa’s

Great looking IIC. I just did the Hobby craft model India recon(check the forum) and the detail on yours is so much better. $5.00, what a steal. Was the canopy molded closed or did you have the option of having it open because my HC was closed and had to go for a Squadron one.

Cheers-Leo

Looks great

Bob

Very good looking hurricane there. You are right most Hasagawa kits do seem to go together that easily. (only exception I have found is their 1/72 scale MIG-25)

Thanks again everyone,

The canopy was molded close, a plus for me, thats the way I build them.

Andrew:

Very nice Hurricane!!!

ITS ALL ABOUT THE “U”!!!..no wait…different Hurricane!!!

Very clean camo…love the colors…Ive been looking for that kit… Now I really want it!

Carlos

Great looking build! I’m jealous:

a) the quality of your work; and

b) the price - outrageous!

Thanks Cml and Carsanab.[:)]
