I like Eduard kits[:D] the whole thing had perfect fit except for the windows. They were to big I tried somthing new for once when I fill seams I sand away the panel lines. I forgot what this was called but I cut out the panel lines on the fusalage after I sanded them away. Eduard also had great decals. I put gobs of micro sol on it and they layed down perfectly. Last, I compared it with the 109E its still a tiny plane but it can fit five people[:O] those must be some little seats. Does anyone know what the Bf-108 was used for? a bomber? recon? Well thats it thanks for looking.[:)] All comments very welcome.

Very interesting aircraft. The original design was a two seated sport/recreational ac for competition in the Fourth Challenge de Tourisme Internationale in 1934. It was used by the Germans in WW2 as a personal transport and liaison ac. Much more information can be found about the the BF-108. Thanks for showing.

Looking Good, RD! The 108 is definately an interesting subject.

Nice one Andrew! [tup]

As for your question regarding the Bf-108 it was a civilian light aircraft design and built before the war. Meserschmitt used the basic wing design as the basis for the Bf-109 prototype and the rest as they say is history. It was then used in the war as a liaison aircraft.

The kit would be a great pallet for you to try your hand at bringing out the panel lines with a wash.

Did you build the weekend edition or the Profipack. I built the profipack about two years ago and took a first place in box stock with it at a couple of different contests in 2006-2007. It’s such a great kit to work with.

Looks good Andrew. Nice build.

Regards, Rick

From what i can see (Pics a bit dark on my pc) looks really sweet. Thx for posting.

Hey Drew,

Very well done bud…!!! Over all build looks clean especially when you re scribed the panel lines…!! [tup][tup]for the decals as well, from what I can see, there is no silvering!!! Job well done… I also noticed the painting of the canopy. well done… You are definitely getting there Drew…

I have this kit as well but it is the Profi Pack version…!! Thank you for sharing…!! You should be proud of your latest build…

Thanks Mark & Mike[:)]

Yes, good job on a great pair appropriately shown together. Solid work.

Bf-108! A very historically significant one indeed!

Thanks trexx.[:)]

Good looking Taifun, nice work! [tup]

Nice job on the Taifun!!

Nice work on the Taifun! It is a neat little aircraft not often seen here. Was that the regular Eduard kit or the “Weekender”? I have the regular kit in the stash and was wondering if there were any build issues other than thw windows (seams, etc.)?

Brian [C):-)]

Thanks Claudez, Mark and Brian.

Brian, the kit is pretty nice I built the normal. There is hardly any locating pins in the fusalage, the interior fit isn’t all that great but the worst is the window fit. Still its a great kit.[:)]
