Finished 1/35 DML M46

I finished this beast two or three years ago.It was my first attempt at indy links (I had no clue they existed until I opened this kit, kind of a shocker) and the first time I free-handed something other than the base color, camo, etc…The decal for the mouth wouldn’t lay down,so I just painted it on.It was also my first attempt at drybrushing a kit of this size.

I think you have posted this before… looks familiar… Nontheless, it’s great!![:D]

Thanks, but I just figured out how to post pics of stuff. There have been others though.I breaking in a new camera and this build is one of my favorites.Figured I’d give it a shot.

Ya… may have been another then [xx(]

But I really like the drybrushing you did on this… what paint you used?

I know the base coats were Tamiya Olive Drab and Camel Yellow in the rattle cans.I’m pretty sure I used Citadel Colour/GamesWorkshop Bleached Bone for the drybrushing.

Aaaa… Bleached bone for OD… That sounds great… Have to try that!

Yeah, I’m a Citadelpaint fanatic myself! [:D]

Nice work. I like Korean war armor. Something you might want to change however. Only the upper left oval tail light was red (and it should be VERY muted as it was only red plastic – I usually apply Tamiya Clear Red over the olive drab). The lower left lens and both right lenses were black. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but I’m done messing with it.Sherman lenses are configured the same way, correct?

Oh MAAAAN!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

AWESOME!!!

GRRRREAT painting!!!

How did you actually paint the Tiger? With a brush? I can’t see any brush strokes–don’t tell me you actually masked this baby?

It looks seriously impressive! I’m surprised to see the yelllow accents on the sprocket as well. Very, very cool!

My highest commendation!!! [bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow]

Thanks doog. The eyes, whiskers, eyebrows and claws are decals.Everything else was brushed on the old fashioned way.You can really cut loose with this scheme. There were many variations of it on Shemans and M24’s as well.

Man! That paint scheme is very eye catching! I’ve seen it in pics before but not somebody’s model. That is one cool looking build. I can’t believe you painted most of the tiger with a brush because you can’t even tell.

Always neat to see this scheme in action on a model and the fact that it was brush-painted makes it even more well done. [tup]

Very cool paint job. very well done. I have the strangest urge for some corn flakes[%-)]

I’ve alway liked that rendition. Well done.

Thanks guys.I really appreciate your comments.
