FineScale Modeler Build a Model Month Group Build 2025

That’s great news! Glad it worked so well, your repaint works looks very clean.

I finished the main color and am planning to do some touchup later.

Well, I hope there’s still time to participate. I’ll find something to build. I’m 17

@Beachgrass The due date is Nov. 30, at 11:59 PM. You’ve set up a challenge for yourself!

@hiker5452 I’m too lazy to scroll up and search. Which brand model is your A-10?

it’s a Revell model with a few Hasagawa bombs.

I’m arming the A-10 with 6 Maverick missiles, an electronic jamming pod, a fuel tank and 2 napalm tanks from the kit and 2 GBU-12s from a Hasagawa weapons kit. One wing is done right now.

Where do I submit my granddaughter’s build?

Weapons, a few decals, and most of the painting done. Tomorrow I’ll do final assembly and the rest of the decals.

Well ive had a time and a half with it, but i dont have to time to detail my misadventures and the whole list of everything ive done. Enamels are still wet, but shes gotta get done tomorrow its probably the last time ive got. Ive had a list of disasters that would probably make most modeler throw it in a box and call it a day, least of which was the decals turning translucent (never see that before) and discovering that my varnish didnt go down right and nearly ripped it down to plastic trying to weather the darn thing. But momma didnt rase no quiter, and i wont pass up my chance to be in a magazine (i gotta live up to my dad, he was on a cover of one) its about 85% done, just some more details and effects, a varnish, a prayer and some time.

Your weathering is beyond compare. I hope you make the deadline!

16 straight hours of work and were almost at the finsh line at 3:30 am. All thats left is to let my enamels dry and add a matt varnish, and shes done. Soooooooo much work into this big girl and im quite proud of her, especially for how fast she went together. A few things here and there that could have been done better, and a few things i messed up on but at least shes done in time for the build. Ill take some better pictures hopefully tomorrow, but for now heres her with a panther on her back.

OK, here I go.
Me, 17
Academy 1/72 Flieseler Fi. 156 Storch
Tamiya 1/48 V-1 (Fieseler Fi103) (This is for my boss, and if I have the time today and tomorrow)

My brother (14)
Tamiya 1/35 M4A3E2 “Jumbo”

Our rough plan is to do as much of the building as we can tonight and then finish tomorrow morning and airbrush over the rest of the day.

Wow! Glad you left yourself a wee bit of extra time to complete these. Nothing like a close deadline to push a project.

Good luck

Outstanding build! Top to bottom fabulous.

Last day for the BAMM Group Build! Everyone, has been doing a great job, and I’m excited to see how everything turns out. Shushu is back at the workbench today and going to plow ahead to try to finish her book nook.

Go ahead and post your photos here in the group build. If you have process photos, it would be great to see how it all came together.

Are final pictures due today? Im done but im out of town and im not sure if ill be back in time tonight to get the finished pictures done

Finally complete with this one. Pretty much been a model I’ve had on the back burner for the month while I do other stuff. This kit almost ended up in the bin, mostly due to my own doings. Glad to have it completed and off my desk.
The main decals were quite weird with a removal carrier film. It was similar to Eduards, though these didn’t peel off as nicely. They just flaked off, rather than peeled so there is some stuck around the edges that was simply impossible to remove.
The antenna wouldn’t fit in my photos because of the height (it’s almost a foot tall). Not really much at the top of the antenna anyways…
