Hi all, I finished my 1/72 Finemolds Me 410 A-1 for the Secret Santa GB. It’s a pretty nice kit with some minor fit issues but great detail. All I added were some seat belts, aerials and Aeromaster decals. Enjoy and comments welcome.

Nice work Dave!…built up nice! Great scheme and impeccable decaling!
That A/C always gives me vertigo wondering why it doesn’t flop over on her nose with those enginges hanging out like that.[(-D]
Excellent build Dave [tup]. I recall one review that said the tailplanes were offset, one side to the other. Did you encounter this or has Fine Molds possibly corrected the problem ?
Regards, Rick
WOW Dave… that’s one to be proud of. I too like the color scheme. The last couple of Luftwaffe builds I did have been with those colors. The dark tones give it a more forbidding look. You did a great job on yours. And the RLM 02 (?) in the mottling makes it looks just a little… well… festive[;)][:D]
Beautiful job on this one Dave! The transition of hard-edged camo to the mottle looks AWESOME! Was it difficult to do? You really did a great job with it. [bow]
You did a bang up job on that bird Razordws, Like the others said the camo and molt are top shelf, wing nut put it best. I must also add that that molt job soft edge is very to scale and in 1/72 that’s a real achivement. you gave a very authentic and pleasing appearance to the Hornisse.
Very, very well done Dave! [tup][tup] AS the others said, the mott and finish are outstanding! Well done friend! [8D]
Dave, that turned out excellent! The mottle came out great. Excellent job.[tup]
Dave, that looks outstanding my friend! [tup] The mottling impressed me too, but not as much as the patience you showed masking that nightmare of a canopy. I have the same kit, repackaged by Eduard, which includes some nice PE and resin AM. Hope mine turns out half as good. Well done!!
Thanks guys for all your kind comments.
Ric, there is indeed a offset with the tailplanes and I choose to ignore it for the most part. I did a little bit of sanding to make it less noticeable and once it’s painted you can hardly tell.
Frank, the mottle with the RLM 74 and 75 was easy as i was using new polyscale bottles of acrylics. The RLM 02 was a little harder as I was using an older bottle of MM that clogged the airbrush. Basically I just adjust the airbrush to make as small a blotch as possible and work my way out.
Mike, we seem to have very similar tastes is subject matter. Either that or you buy a lot more kits than you let on! [;)] The canopy really isn’t as bad as it looks. There are a lot of curves but they are simple rather than compund curves so the masking is relatively straight forward speaking curvilinerary! [%-)] The hardest part was assembling the three canopy pieces. It took a few tries to get it right.
Dave, that’s a beauty of a kit. The nose art is wicked cool and the airbrush job on the camo is flawless. What a neat piece to have in your collection. That’s got to look menacing on your shelf.
Very inspirational, for this newbie [:)]
Dave, What an Outstanding Build. The Paint - Wow … I have always admired this Bird, after seeing this it is time to add one to my Collection. My Wife Thanks you , I am sure…[#toast] What is Next on the Bench ?
Charles, bspeed thanks for the kind comments.
Summit, don’t go blaming anything on me. I have my hands full with my own wife and I don’t need to answer to anyone else’s. [;)] As for what’s nest on the bench I’m doing a little Luft '46 project - a Revell E555

very nice work… love the paint job, decalling, also like the fact that it has minimum wethering, you can appreciate the paint/decal jobs that much more. Thanks for posting!
…agreeing with all the positive comments! Thanks for sharing…[:)]
Nice work on the 410. If it didn’t have such a long canopy, you could almost mistake it for a Brit Mosquito.

It looks fantastic Dave. I hope your proud of that one. Dont think it can be faulted and the painting IMHO is superb. Well done fella.
…Guy
(Darn it, down to the LHS again)
I like it!Nice job on the cammo!
Okay, this is freakin’ nice!!!
