This is a very fun kit! Fit is a lot like Hasegawa. Cockpit details pretty anemic…dropped in a True Details resin set (made for Hasegawa), fit nearly perfect. You’ll have to cut the back “shelf” off of the kit piece though. I also stuck in some fine wires to emulate the coolant hoses. Interesting camo scheme decals, but the colors are a bit dark in my opinion…so I air brushed it with Gunze-Sangyo acrylics. I’ve got the F-4 on the pile as well, and I’m considerering a Mistel project. Hope you enjoy these pics!
P.S. Don’t goof on the plank hardstand…it’s obviously not permanant!!
Best Regards,
JK

That does look great and I think the planking looks right as well (ad hoc). You did a great job on thiss build.
Very nice work on the 109. The planking looks very appropriate, especially for late in the war when the Luftwaffe had to make do with whatever was available.

Beautiful work James…very nice finish. Didn’t yo hate to have a closed canopy on it though with that nice looking pit inside?

Thank You Mark and Ninedriver…!
Yeah, I’d have liked to have had the canopy open…but I didn’t want to risk damage with a microsaw!
