FINE SCALE MODELER

i just bought my first copy of fsm yesterday. from what i have read it is a great mag. infact i just subscribed to it today i cant wait to get the next issue. just wanted to let ya know that as a new armor builder i found some great tips and info in the january issue. the work that the doog does really inspired me to jump in and get building. thanks for a great mag.

Welcome doxdawg! [#welcome]

And thanks for the compliments! Glad to have inspired you a little! Hope you’ll inspire someone on this site as well!

I --“we”–look forward to seeing your work! [:D]

mutliple personality disorder?

Still smarting from the A$$-whooping I gave you in our PM’s IYAYAYAAYS?

How regrettable but perhaps, predictable for you to break into to a sincere and kindly stated complimentary thread, offering nothing but a tawdry remark like that.

Please don’t try to take the high road on this–both you and I know your remark wasn’t made in humor. Boy, it’s a shame that you decided to take the “lurk and lash out” appraoch as to your participation here, instead of engaging this wonderful community here with more positive and meaningful interaction as I had suggested.

Just remember Buddy; participation on this forum IS voluntary, but it is an option that can be removed through proper channels…

and the doog bites, yyyeeeesssssssssssss “10 points” thanks for protecting my thread doog. i owe ya one

Get him Doog! Being a friend of Dox’s, and having seen some of his work, he is in the right place. Dox, ignore the jerks, and befriend the good guys. You are more than welcome here. Keep building along the lines you are, and you will only get better. With all our help of course. LOL!!!

HA HA! Thanks, and no problem doxdawg!

I have teeth if you keep pulling my tail! LOL! [(-D]

You too, Ray…thanks for the support! This guy and I have a “history”…[:-^][:D]

Not a prob Karl. It’s Gits like him that can wreak it for the newer people, and drive them away. THAT is not cool. You know they got that there new revised history, maybe we can delete him. LOL

dont worry guys it will take more than a few bad apples to scare me away. any ways most of the people here seem really cool and helpful, thanks all.

I was refering to the orginal posters tag name “doxdawg” sorry if you took it as a poke…dawg as an alternate spelling for doog…

…then you should have put that reference in your post…and not let it look like it was in referenece to my comment to doxdawg “I–‘we’–look forward to seeing your work?”

A “smiley” would help too in situations where you post three words…[%-)]

…just a suggestion. [#dots]…t’would help prevent misunderstandings.[banghead]

wow i can feel the love in here.[(-D]. but on a serious note life is way to short, enjoy it while we can. i am here to make freinds and to learn how to build better models and dios, not to make enemys. i wake up every morning with a smile maybe you can to ,try it its easy just flex your face ,grunt and let the corners of your mouth rise up.[swg]. finally as to any mutipal persanilatys and my spelling problems,i am fine. no hes not, yes i am, ok what ever. i said im fine. [(-D] well this has been fun, every body smile and have a great day. see you all tonite after work.

or maybe we should not rush to judge…

Iyaayas,

Maybe you should practice what you preach.

Or think before you speak.

Man Dox you really know how to make an entrance. LOL!!!

I have a little favor to ask everyone. Would it be too much of an imposition to take up private beefs with others through the Private Message venue? It’s just that my kids also like to read the Forum, and being reasonably intelligent, they can decipher thinly-veiled potty words such as the one quoted above. I keep telling them grownups don’t conduct themselves in this manner, but then they read openly hostile thread replies like this! I understand that some people can be annoying and can cause a strong urge to strike back at them. But it might better serve the Forum community as a whole, especially the youth, if we adults were to set good examples of mature conduct, which cannot be exemplified by using euphemisms and negative responses. If someone gets under your skin, try to rise above it. And if you can’t, please don’t drag the Forum down by publicly stooping to their level. Let cooler heads prevail. Remember, this is supposed to be a safe haven for family use. There’s not many places on the web that are safe, clean, and fun. So let’s not wreck this, too. I get enough bad attitude from people during the day. Why would I want to come here and get more?[:)]

I realize that there will be a small percentage of users who don’t comprehend what I’m saying, so if you’re among those who’s going to send me a Nasty-Gram for having the audacity to suggest we keep things clean and positive, please do so via the P.M. function.

Kindest regards-

Mark,

Seconded, and nicely done BTW. Deano would be proud!

Bill

Sorry, Modelnerd, but this guy and I already had it out in the PM’s and I’m just not entertaining the idea of “entertaining” him in such a manner again and being the target of his "lurking’ commentary any longer. I thought that if I just put things on the table for alll to see, he’d get the message and hopefully, hear it from others who also know and have a “history” with him as well.

I had an “issue” with you quite recently, and handled it in the PM’s to a satisfying resolution.

I’m not trying to sink to anybody’s level here, and if you perceive it that way, I regret that. As for your kids, I’m sure they hear worse in school!

I admit this was out-of-character for me, but it was a calculated move; tried to really “reach” this guy through the PMs, and he just keeps pi**ing on my parade. I’m not going to engage in the pointless banter of the PMs when the first time got me NOWHERE but more enigmatic, “wink-wink” posts.

Anyway, I agree that your post and sentiments contained therein are valid points, and I will take them under consideration in the future.

… to return to the original 'tone" of the post… I was catching up on my FSM, thought your article was your Hetzer build up (I had seen headers in the armor forum about you getting published in FSM)… then I read “The” article on FSM, was astounded at the quality and originality, then realized it was “your” article. Was a truly incredible work, and the fact that you take the time to answer posts from newbies makes it even nicer…cheers!

And to the OP, this forum is where I get 85% of my info, hints/tips and help… many MANY quality modelers who take the time off to help newbies or hobby returnees like myself.
