Fine Molds Snow Speeder

Well I finally got her done in time for the “Hope it Doesn’t Snow” show in Rochester (It is forcasted to snow though…)

This is a great kit and I wanted to put in a display that would allow me to incorporate a mirror so you can see the bottom. The base and mirror are from Michaels for less than $10, snow and rocks are from the Hobby Store.

Enjoy!

That looks great!! At least if it snows at the show, you’ll have a snowspeeder. LOL!

Awesome job!

Looks fabulous! I am also going to that show this weekend. I will be bringing a Sci-Fi figure that I am finishing up tonight. Hope to see you there.

Also I think the way you incorporated the mirror is brilliant.

Great job on the 'speeder, and the frozen pond is a great way to make use of a mirror. Two furry Tauntaun thumbs up  I’m not familiar with the kit, what scale is it? This should draw some interest at the show, best of luck,

Thanks for all the kind words everyone…

The kit is in 1/48th scale and like the Y-wing kit, it falls together very well. They did a great job hiding the seams…

Regarding the show this weekend, I plan on bringing about 4-5 items but this will probably be the only Sci-Fi item. Here is a glimpse at a couple other items I plan on bringing…

Beatiful work-Any pitfalls to watch out fo when building this kit? Fit problems, etc?

Beautiful work, I myself have one on the way, dispatched from HLJ since mid January. After seeing your work I’m becomming more inpatient. I’m going to save your shots to provide some inspiration.

Thanks,

Terry.

I had no issues with the kit, like all of their SW kits the fit is fantastic and engineering is as well. Most of the seams are well hidden.

I entered it in a model contest this weekend and took a gold with it…

One awesome build you have there, i love the base and the detail painting.
