the prop is clad in Bare Metal Foil, the paints are from Model Masters, Citadel Colors, and Testors Enamel (1/4 oz. bottle)

and comments/suggestions are more than welcome

Hi ya gharlane

Looking good … keep us posted on your progress … thanks for sharing … [swg]

ps: nope don’t know why the prop looks gold in that one shot … but it sure does … reflection off of something maybe … ???

wow. that is looking great. love the shot showing the area behind the engine.

Wow![tup] Great looking work! Can’t wait to see the rest when it’s finished!

thanks for the compliments bstrump, fightnjoe, and FreedomEagle 1953. there will be more pics (need to work on focus for close-ups) and progress reports to come [:D]

again thanks

So far, so good! I love that plane. The Navy yellow wing era stuff is just neat.

Looks good from here.

Thad

Looks great, I may have to give it a try with Bare Metal Foil on the pop. I’m thinking of starting an F4B.

Scott

Looks real good from here. Are you doing a bit of pre-shading on the fuse?
I would only suggest to put a black wash on the cylinderheads to bring out the detail.

Looking good!
A suggestion: how about a little more diversity in the photos? Three of those shots are practically the same (I think two are actually identical).

I’d like to see your nice work from a few different angles!

Looking good so far. Is that the Hasegawa 1/32 kit?

Regards, Rick

wibhi2-nope have not done any pre-shading, i will do that towards end of build (after application of FUture)

JHulk- thanks for the suggestion, on next set of photos i will do this

rjkplasticmod- yes it is the 1/32 kit from Hasegawa,i could not find a date on the box or instructions but from reading info on other pages it is from the 1960’s, it is from the 1/32 scale series, kit # j-06450
