Finally !!!!!!

Could this be … or is Academy just toying with us again.

Supposed to be released in November in Europe.

Something for Christmas for all you allied lovers.

Hmmm need to make space for Jackson

Nah I heard someone get into the site and made a mock up of that box art in Photoshop [;)]. Waste of time [:D]

Released in Europe come November, eh? I heard they were released there in 1944[;)]! Hope they put the armor roof on it!

Can’t wait to make one! Hey, is the M3A1 Medium from Accademy also true?

Ron.

EGG-zellent! Can’t wait to build it up. 90mm HVAP – the great equalizer!

No mention of it on this site Ron, or other M3 variants.

Yeah, I didn’t see it either. Just rumor I guess. Anyhoo, this thread made me remember I had to fill a gap in my Shermans with an M51 Super Sherman… just ordered it. [:D][:p][:)]

Fun Fun Fun!!

Ron.

If someone did that in Photoshop, they must have spent an awful lot of time for such a joke, and they ought to get a job! (Working for some photo retouching house, perhaps!!)

This has been long rumored. There is an actual photo of the built kit on www.missing-lynx.com discussion group. Big talk now is that it comes with an armored roof, single baffle muzzle brake, bore evacuator and the hull machine gun. I guess all of which are post war modifications, but I’m not up on my tank destroyer particulars. That post states that it is due in November.

Should keep all the allied model builders all warm and fuzzy. Now where’e my Crusader?

“It is well that war is so terrible, lest we grow too fond of it.”-R.E.Lee

I AM all warm and fuzzy.
I was starting to think I was going have to kit bash the Academy M10 and Italeri M36 to make one.

its just a shame its by Academy, im going to wait for AFV clubs version

Here’s the pic of the overhead view of the completed kit … the interior of the turret looks much better than the Italeri offering.

That’s nice! Have been hearing about that one for quite some time now.

Jon, Academy has been doing some nice pieces lately. They seem to be getting better all the time.

Bill

True. The Sherman family vehicles are pretty nice. I didn’t like the Stuart interiors though. Way off target in so many respects.

Ron.

That’s a pretty impressive piece, even for this German armor fan [}:)]

the AFV Clubs Jackson has just Future next to it and they have a M40 coming out (dont know if its sherman based or Korean eara?
Academy are releasing the Cast M3 British M3 and Bolted hull versions

I believe the M40 was Korean era… that’ll be cool too!

Ron.

From what I’ve read, one M40 was assigned during W.W.II for trials. Also one M43, which had the same configuration but used the 8 inch howitzer instead of the 155mm was also given a whirl.

AFV, like Academy, have been talking about the Jackson for a while now.
