Finally joined the forums

Hi Everyone, very occasional lurker, but decided to go all out and join the forums. My name is Gary, I am 61 and live in Brisbane, Australia. Have approximately 300 kits in the stash, but have only built a couple of them!! I have some armour, but the majority are aircraft. I like ww2 aircraft and fast jets, Tornado, Harrier and Phantom, but my favourite being the F111!! I was fortunate enough to sit in the right hand seat of an F111G many years ago, a surprise birthday present that my wife arranged. Have also done ballooning, gliding and aerobatics.

Thanks for letting me join, looking forward to getting advice on how to improve my skills.

Chhers, Gary

[snWcm] aboard Gary, hope you enjoy your time here. It’s a pretty laid-back group, lots of different areas of interest and levels of experience, and lots of good advice if you’re looking for it (and sometimes even if you’re not [;)]).

If you have specific questions, it’s best to ask under the relevant sub-forum heading, since you’re likely to get a faster response that way.

Cheers! [:D]

Welcome to FSM [snWcm]

Welcome to the forum, Gary! I look forward to seeing your builds-maybe a classic Revell F-111? I was a kid when that came out and I admired it in the catalog-though I never got to building one.

Best regards,

Brad

Hi Gary, hope you find this forum useful and enjoyable. If you’ve lurked a bit you probably have seen the posts about the need for an external photo host if you plan to show your work. You’ve also no doubts seen and read about the spotty performance issues, all minor stuff.

I lurked for years before joining, some beautiful work has been displayed here.

Welcome aboard

Hi Gary and welcome from another fan of the F-111. Used to watch the Anzac Dat flyover of 111s from Amberley go low over my house in Taringa every year as a teen. I have a couple in my stash to build both a C and G in RAAF markings.

Well, I finally found a link in the old Forum, and now, I’m on over here.
Not much has changed from the “old me.”

Happy Christmas, to all

Welcome back, Gary! Happy Christmas!
