Very nice work on the Raptor, Captain… It’s been intersting following the build. Glad to see it came together for you. Thanks for posting.
An excellent Raptor captain![tup] I built the Revell/Germany one, or was it the Italeri (same one anyway[:D]). Unfortunately, I wanted the weapons bays closed and the doors were absolutely terrible! Then one of the landing gear oleos snapped! then I crazed the canopy with glue and had to buff it out! Now it sits out of site on top of a bookcase. It’s nice to see that you built a beauty out of it! I have a second kit I considered losing, but now… thank you for posting it[8D]
I love it ,a sure winner EL Kapitan!
Great camo work and I love the matt finish.
Great Job!
I went out and bought the Italeri F-22 from Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago (half off sale and on clearance, picked it up for $8). I haven’t mustered up the courage to try it again, but why your photos… well… maybe I’ll wait for an aftermarket cockpit and update set. I just hope it comes out looking half as good as yours. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.
I think the key to actually enjoying the build up of this kit is to master the use of Mr. Surfacer and various sanding film grits. I think I went through a whole bottle of M.S. 500 trying to make everything fit right. The intakes were especially hard.
Keep it up, now what you gotta do is show us the rest of the armada in your inventory
Very nice! Great job!
There isn’t a whole lot in the old “armada” at the moment, actually. I’ve got an old P-38 I did way back when…and I mean WAY back when. It’s hideous, actually. I’d be embarassed to show it here. Aside from that I’ve got a bunch of anime-based sci-fi stuff that I tinkered with for a while.
Here’s a link to a review I did for Starship Modeler a while back:
