Finally B-29 In foil done

Well here it is its done it was a vary tediase job and i got alot of wrinkles on the wings, but it was diffrent than the old painting and masking. I used mona lisa brand gold foil adesive and renyolds wrap foil. Not bad for a first attempt i think, but i’ll let you be the judge.

No question about it, that came out great! I’d never know that was your first attempt.

Not too shabby for a first timer[:P] Now if we can get a better look at that nose art…

You ask and you shall recive.

i think it looks great!!,be even better on the ceiling…man, you want to finish mine?..i need the break

WOW that is one bigmetalmutha. Nice job Smokin’.

What a great looking model. What did you use for adhesive?

OUTSTANDING Build and a WOW for the BMF

Bud

Looks pretty good for a first attempt. Keep up the good work.

Nice work. I really like the choice of markings, the yellow on the tail really sets it off. [8D]

You did a really nice job for your first attempt at foil.

Smokin’ that’s one nice honey! And the plane looks good, too!

I think it looks amazing. Good job!

Joshua

That’s one impressive bird. You did a fantastic job with the finish. The B-29 has to be my all time favorite and I’d be proud to have one that nice in my collection. Great job !!

[#ditto]

now I might have to do one up as a friend of mine’s dad flew this one

Now I need to find out more about it! This was during the Korean War June1950-Oct/Nov 1950 and his dad got a Bronze Star for some reason.[:P]

Great job as always Smoke… How big is that thing?

Cheers Chris

What did you use if any to aplay foil, to make it flat. Great job on B-29. Gumiflex

Very nice, indeed, smokinguns! You had fewer wrinkles than I did on my F-5E, and you will have even fewer on your next job! Did you have any issues with the paint sticking to the foil? I prepainted and foiled right up to the edge of the paint on mine. I am going to do a B-17G in “Aluminum Overcast” livery soon, it should prove to be a challenge! Again, very well done!

Smokin’…

Absolutely crazy job… If that’s a first attempt, I’d hate to see your later birds… simply amazing.
