Can anyone put me onto the whereabouts of top quality resin figurines of U.S. marines and Japanese of the Pacific Theater WW2. Cheers.
What kind of “top quality” are you looking for? I like Verlinden figures most of the time, pretty good detail, straight forward clean up and construction but the figures are usually a little oversized IMO, more like 1/32 scale instead of 1/35
Warriors makes some good figures as far as I know, their poses are sometimes a little unnatural, but that might just be the box art, I have never put one together. Hornet is pretty much the place to go for heads, and if it doesn’t have to be a full resin figure, Dragon figure kids are pretty well done, especally their Gen 2 figures, about as close to resin as you can get with plastic, I’d say either get a Dragon kit to save you money and replace the heads with something from Hornet, or go with Verlinden, as I don’t have any first hand experience with Warriors and these are really the only brand I know much about.

Not much available by the look of it for Japanese figures, what are you looking for these kits for? I think that you could probably get away with a scene with a handful of marines and some Japanese casualties or even no Japanese at all as they were mostly underground in tunnels and the like- just a tunnel entrance or a few bodys would be enough for a little scene. The only reason I use resin figures over plastic is back in the day before I started kit bashing figures, not a lot of plastic figures were offered in cool poses and scenes and didn’t fit with the stories I wanted to tell, but once I started kitbashing Dragon/Taymiya figures, the figures can fit any story I make up and the plastic is much easier to mess around with/cut/resculpt and less expensive than the resin. And in the future you might want to change your post title to something like “Figures Needed- 1/35 scale Pacific Marines and Japanese” so people know what you are talking about without having to click into your post. Also I’m only assuming you want them in 1/35- if you wanted a bust or 1/16 scale full figures, I’m sorry but you didn’t specify. Welcome to the forums Dan!

No problem, glad to help. As far as marketing though, I’m sorry but I can’t help you there. I know there a few people on here that have their own lines/own their own local hobby shops. You might want to try making a new post about that if you want, I’m sure someone could help you out.
It seems most companies that do that just get their own website when they make their own kits. I dont have my links here, when I get home ill give you it, of a company that makes AM parts for planes and vechels, and then figures and figure accessors in 1/35 all of it being about 98% for British and Canadian troops.
If you try it, I suggest that, but you would have to pay for the site, then advertising and such, you have to be ready to make that buisness venture.
i would absolutely steer clear of the Corree USMarines WWII Iwo Jima set.
I made this horrid thing for presentation last year and have chronicled it elsewhere here. Terrible kit, low production value, the resin was horrid and crumbled and turned to a sandy textture when drilled…I was very happy to get it done.
