What is the best way to attach standing figures to a celluclay base ? Most are plastic and one is resin. I have white glue, super glu or CA, and a product called “Goop.” Do they dry clear or are they milky after setting up? Drilling pins in the feet will work for 3 of them but pins won’t work for the rest. Your input is appreciated.

Gluing to celluclay won’t work, because no matter how good the bond, he will break off with a glob of cellu-poop attached to his foot. Make a riser from a chunk of sprue that is secured to whatever base the celluclay is on, nipped off at the surface, and glue him to it.
Generic white glue works for me.

Drill a hole in one or both feet through the ankle and a bit up the leg. Superglue a piece of brass rod into the hole leaving a good length below the figure. Do this before painting and you’ll have something to hold onto. Drill a corresponding hole through the Celluclay and into your base before adding ground cover. Mark the hole with a toothpick to beable to find it. Superglue the rod into the hole.
It’s just that simple.
You can also use what I use–a medium dollop of gap-filling superglue. If it oozes out from underfoot, just sprinkle some grass powder or dirt around the shoe–and all the better, because then the foot looks better-planted in the terrain.
Is gap filling super glue the same as regular superglue? What brand is it sold under?

Zap a gap works for me. But i have turned to useing the method ajlafleche mentioned. Only i don’t glue the rod into the ground, that way if i need to repair it or brush the dust off, i can remove the figure’s.
These figures are small women and children. Their legs are just too small for a pin without damage.

What scale is this? You should be able to find rod or wire and a drill bit to work even in 1/72 scale.
yeah, try insect pins. I have a bunch left over from a science project. They are super hard but almost impossibly thin.
Here is a tip. When you put down the ground work take your figures and gentle push them into the celluclay then take them off. It will leave an indent of the feet.
Once it dries and is painted and all put a dab of CA in there and put the figures, not only does it let them stand up better and ballance better but gives you a guide for putting them down. I just did it two minutes ago
