I was thinking would any one care to have a figures group build? I say any scale era, sci-fi and fantasy figures are fair game also. Start date June 1st 2006 to when ever the last person is done. Let me know what you think.
I’m game, since I’m aboout to start a couple new items.
Ok great ajlafleche I think if there are three more members we can call it a build. Should we just keep this as the GB thread or move it over to the GB forum?
Count me in also…I have a couple lying about that need to be completed.
I just started 3 …
I might like to join into this one too. Got a few kits in the stash.
I’m IN!
Just started Pegaso’s Cymmerian Warrior (aka Conan the Barbarian) in 75mm.
Only assembled the parts and gave it a hand of primer, if it’s OK I’ll join with this one otherwise I have plenty of figures to choose from my stash.
Ok 6 members I say that we have us a group build!
Avus yeah its ok to join with built figures or half painted ones are ok. Some of mine that I am joining with have some painting done already.
So does every one want to keep this as the GB thread or move it over to the GB forum?
btw how does everbody like my new avatar?
Ok picked out my figure, going to be a part figure conversion and part scratch build. Going to be Kain from Blood Omen from a Playstation game. Think it’s going to be in 1/35 since I have a large number of figures. Cant find a good picture of him on the web and dont have the game any more.
I’ll be doing Latorrre’s Saxon Vth Century warrior. A lilttle bit different from what I’ve been doing and a simple set up.Here’s thte box art.
ajlafleche thats going to be a nice looking figure, I have always had a soft spot for Saxon figures. Guess I will move this over to the GB forum.
edit here it is http://www.finescale.com/FSM/CS/forums/628118/ShowPost.aspx
What is your normal consideration when thinking figures? Why would you not normally consider sci-fi or fantasy? (aside from those “fantasy” that go into the “adult content” matter) Personally I might make certain limits, such as “human/humanoid”, or “creature, not machine”… etc. to at least put a few wide boundaries?
I put in sci-fi and fantasy since there was a good chance that I would be asked if such figures were allowed. If I only put in Any figure any era the question would have come up.And I did not think about limits for machine mostly since you never see those on this part of the forum.
Here is the first figure started. It is a Verlinden 200mm resin bust:
Here is Vallejo paint added…mostly base coats:
Finished bust:
Man Buddo your already done? Great work! Now my figures look really bad.
Great job Buddho!
I posted my pics in the GB section. Is this correct?
We never discussed where to continue the GB thread: here or in the appropriate section.
Post the builds over at the GB forum.
