fightnjoe's folly is now complete.

ok now be kind. this is the first real scratchbuilt piece i have done. i took plastic signs and began carving about a month ago. this post is the result. so here goes.

this is what i started with.

this was the supplys i needed.

and this is the result.

i took some liberties with the weathering but i am pleased with the results. you will notice no armament. that is by my design.

this is to be the first. the second will be sometime this spring

I love it, Joe…Well done!

Regards, Dan

Nice looking build.

That looks great, Joe.
I’ve never noticed how thin those legs are…

Quite a project to take on from scratch. Impressive is all I can say, like you can almost feel the ground tremors as it lumbers toward you.

Hey Joe, That is just plain awesome!
Here are some photos I ran across. http://public.fotki.com/pcmodeler/reference_gallery/science_fiction/star_wars_imperial-1/

Very nice indeed…

Ya did good, Joe!

Nice work! So, why did you leave off the armament?

Way to go, Joe!!

Regards, Rick

Great stuff! What did you cut the signs with?

Great job, the FORCE is Diffidently with you.

very nice ! all its missing is a snowspeeder !

yeah, why ?

thanks all. actually the armament stayed off because i didnt have anything at the moment to do it. that will change for the next sci fi build. and that is coming. the sign was cut with an exacto. the blade was horribly dull though.

thanks again for the kind words.

joe

Hey Joe. That is really great. It makes me want to start building on my fantasy model now. Sci-fi can be fun since it does’nt have to be “accurate”. It only has to be logical.

Nice job!!
